This is the second release from Hazelight, and while A Way Out had plenty of fans, it seems that it may just take two to make a thing go quite this right.
Despite the downright wild amount of things to do, It Takes Two manages to handle every mechanic well. You may ride a frog or fly a plane with wings made from Cody’s boxers or hack-and-slash through a Diablo-style castle. It Takes Two is the best 3D platformer I’ve played since Super Mario Odyssey, and like that game, it has a flair for variety. Get to experience a light-hearted story about the hardships of getting along with each other.Master unique and connected character abilities that will surely bring a more disruptive gameplay to your already-disruptive relationship.Featuring a co-op gameplay, invite a friend to play with you in online or couch co-op, with split screen play also available.In order to get out of their predicament, they must work together and set aside their differences. A magic spell mysteriously turns Cody and May into dolls, and they find themselves trapped in a fantastical world.There’s nothing else like it.Invite a friend and play as the always-bickering couple Cody and May in It Takes Two. If that isn’t the case though and there is someone to play with, definitely give It Takes Two a shot. The hardest part of recommending this game is that it is mandatory co-op, meaning that some people are going to have a difficult time finding the time to play a 12 hour game alongside a partner who can devote that much time as well. I went from begrudgingly taking this review because I was now seemingly the Josef Fares reviewer on the site to actually being excited to see what he and Hazelight do next. I am thoroughly impressed with It Takes Two. Featuring a touching and heartfelt story of the challenges of getting along with each other, It Takes Two will task you into helping Cody and May overcome their differences.Take on different objectives together by inviting a friend to play with you in couch co-op or in online co-op.After being affected by a magic spell, they both turn into dolls, and are trapped in a magical world where they must work together.
